Fusion, an Art, Design, and Chocolate Auction unites the distinct cultures of Asia for one electrifying night. Experience traditional Asian entertainment amidst colorful displays of Asian design.
This dynamic benefit for the SDSU design and visual arts disciplines takes place February 17, 2007 at the Days Inn (formerly the Brookings Inn) in Brookings, South Dakota. Dress up in traditional Asian Costume or come in your finest attire. The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a dinner of exquisite Asian-inspired dishes and select wines.
The evening is a feast for the senses with sensational food, energetic performances and a fabulous auction. Bid on one-of-a kind items including original works of art, unique design consultations and services, and decadent chocolate desserts. Proceeds raised from Fusion will help students gain valuable experiences outside the classroom.

Sponsored by the Design and Visual Arts Group, Inc. (DVAGI), the event supports SDSU students in the departments of Apparel Merchandising and Interior Design; Horticulture, Forestry, Landscape and Parks; and Visual Arts. In the past two years, the DVAGI Art, Design and Chocolate Auction has raised more than $32,000 for travel scholarships. These awards have enabled students to study abroad in Germany, accept an internship in Australia, or attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
